Reports suggest that few postdocs end up with a career as a tenure track academic, and that the sectors where postdocs find employment outside of universities are diverse. The goal of this seminar is to provide information on the career paths pursued by people with a PhD, drawn from recent data about PhD outcomes. We will look at the various industry sectors and job functions, and talk about issues to consider when selecting a career path.
